What can looking to the past tell us about our future? It turns out a lot. We dedicate our lives to studying the climate record, using recorded observations dating back to 1895. Armed with this data, we are able to make predictions about what Nebraska's weather will be like in the future, buying Nebraskans time to respond to potential changes and related impacts.

The Nebraska State Climate Office is dedicated to delivering science-based climate services at the local and state level.

Our focus is on weather and climate monitoring, climate services, and stakeholder engagement.
