An upper level low looks likely to take a northeast turn into the Central Plains late next week. This will bring chances for rain and snow to much of the state next Friday into early Saturday. Chances for accumulating snow next Friday are increasing. Our attention then turns for the possibility of another polar plunge in the first week of February. Still a ways out but confidence is increasing that the period from February 3rd-9th will at least be on the colder side. Certainly a chance it is bitterly cold, especially across the High Plains region.
