As Lead Mesonet Technician, I oversee the operation and expansion of the Nebraska Mesonet, a statewide network of over 70 automated weather monitoring stations that deliver real-time, high-quality environmental and meteorological data. My responsibilities include supervising field technicians, coordinating station installations and maintenance, conducting site surveys, managing equipment inventory, and ensuring the network’s operational integrity. I work closely with landowners, university personnel, and external partners to support agriculture, research, emergency response, and climate monitoring across Nebraska.
